I became a patient of Dr. Sergei Sobolevsky in 2012 at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn when, after an unrelated MRI, I was told that a suspicious nodule in my kidney was cancerous. The standard option would be surgical removal of a corresponding chunk of the kidney. Fortunately, one of my friends referred me to Dr. Sobolevsky who, instead, froze this nodule out - and it was an ambulatory procedure, so the next day I resumed my usual routine. I still have periodic MRI scans to verify that the spot is stable, but after 10+ years there is no doubt that the treatment was fully successful. Needless to say, I truly appreciate Dr. Sobolevsky's expertise - as well as his bedside manners.

Dr S is a fantastic vein specialist. He also does embolizations, and everything is done under image guidance. He is super smart, has amazing bedside manners and very attentive to any concerns. I for sure will refer my family to him, not even a question.
